SQL = Simple Query Language. SQL is used to access and manage ralational
databases.

Actually the S is for "Structured", but otherwise Glenda is correct. SQL is
a very powerful language for retrieving data from (and also inserting data
into) relational databases.

You're right, Structured. My favorite instructor (I am TA in his Oracle DBA
classes) would lower my grade for that one. I knew I should have looked at
the book before entering that.
