Cyberspace Communications finances for April, 1999 Mark Unseen   May 2 03:58 UTC 1999

Here is the treasurer's report on Cyberspace Communications, Inc. finances
through April 30th, 1999.

Beginning Balance $4,185.72

Credits $474.00 Member contributions
                        $336.50 Auction proceeds
                         $25.75 Miscellaneous donations
                   ------------
                        $836.25

Debits $63.00 Pumpkin Rent for May
                         $74.39 Electricity for April
                        $351.91 Phone Bill
                   ------------
                        $489.30

Ending Balance $4,532.67

So our current balance breaks down as follows:

$4,239.31 General Fund
  $119.00 UPS Fund
  $114.36 Silly Hat Fund
   $60.00 Spare Parts Fund

There was no activity in the Grex Store, this month, so the balances remain at:

                         Cash Stock
                     --------- ---------
       Balances: ($93.60) $325.90

We had 3 new members in April (david361, charcat, and durrett). We are
currently at 101 members, 89 of whom are paid through at least May 15th.
(The others expired recently and are in a grace period.)

A couple of notes:

- I finally got in touch with the last contributor to the spare parts fund,
so the only money left in there now is $60 which is set aside for a membership
for our California donor if he claims it. (Otherwise it'll go into the
general fund.)

- Scott measured our current at 8.9 amps (up from 8.3 last summer, probably
because of the disks STeve put on to deal with the space crisis). I also
changed my voltage figure from 110 to 115, since people seemed to think that
was more accurate the last time we talked about it. Using those new numbers I
got a payment of $74.39, which is what I paid for April. Sindi Keesan donated
an energy meter which Scott is going to test; using that instead of my little
formula seems like a more accurate way to measure our usage.

- Overall, we continue to do well. April is traditionally our worst month,
but this one was smashing.

Thanks to everyone who contributed in April:

Jdeigert (Jim) donated the meter. We had planned to use it to test how much
electricity it took to heat the upstairs versus the downstairs, assuming we
ever get the house to that stage.
