Agenda for December 16, 1998 Board of Directors meeting Mark Unseen   Dec 15 15:46 UTC 1998

Well, an agenda sometime today. Jan is a bit too distracted to deal with
this, so I'll be coming up with the agenda after work.
18 responses total.

Agenda for the 11/18/98 Grex Board of Directors Meeting

              7:30pm - upstairs at Zingerman's Nextdoor

204 Initial Gavel Pounding - janc? 1 second
      212 Treasurer's Report - aruba 10 minutes
       46 Publicity Committee - mta 5 minutes
      130 Technical Committee - staff 10 minutes
198 Money Market Accounts - aruba 20 minutes
      108 New Business - all ?? minutes
4 Final Gavel Pounding - janc? 1 second

Jan and Valerie will probably not be attending, due to a rather recent
case of childbirth. That's why Jan's name has a question mark in the
agenda.

I still need to reserve the room at Zingerman's, but that shouldn't be a
problem. This meeting is being held early to avoid Christmas.

I don't think we need to talk for 20 minutes about money market accounts; I
have nothing new to say on the topic.

It's possible that Valerie and/or I and/or Arlo will be there for all or
part of the meeting. We'll do our best.

One thing you might want to discuss is a meeting schedule for 1999,
although it might not be possible to decide on meeting days unless you
have all the data for people's schedules.

During the winter semester (January through April) I won't be free
Monday and Wednesday evenings due to teaching commitments. I should
usually be able to make Board meetings on Tuesday or Thursday evening.

I would also like to make a motion to endorse our current policy w.r.t.
outgoing http.

I have some paperwork I'd like to show everyone, and get some advice on.
Might ass well make that a separate agenda item.

I've reserved the Kid's Room at Zingerman's Next Door. This is where we
usually meet.

Here is the updated agenda for tonight's meeting. I added a couple
recent relevant topics and came up with a fresh silly numbering scheme
for the items.

Black Initial Gavel Pounding - janc? 1 second
 Brown Treasurer's Report - aruba 10 minutes
Red Publicity Committee - mta 5 minutes
Orange Technical Committee - staff 10 minutes
Yellow Election Results - all 5 minutes
Green Blocking Other Systems - all 20 minutes
Blue New Business - all ?? minutes
Violet Final Gavel Pounding - janc? 1 second

Resistance is futile.

(Lest anyone freak about item Green, it is meant to discuss what we had to
do with that site we blocked, and what to do in similar situations. We are
not discussing blocking sites for non-vandal reasons)

(Nice hint, Marcus)

Not enough agenda items.

The silly numbering scheme is the resistor color code (black == 1, brown ==2
etc.).

I prefer the versions more suited to polite or PC company & times.....

Perhaps a quip about replacing Robert's Rules of Order with Ohm's Law
would be in order....
