604 Initial Gavel Pounding - janc called Meeting to order at 7:45 pm
403 Treasurer's Report - janc for aruba
Auction: $545.50 so far (not all collected), 61 items still open.
August to date: $547, for July $537 income, expenditures were $658.72
Members 104, 97 paid up
phone bill taxes: we don't get exemption from federal taxes.
306 Publicity Committee - mta
Valerie has an Arborweb add starting soon, has also been putting little
Grex cards around town.
204 Technical Committee - staff
Internet connection was down for several days due to Ameritech problems.
Nuget database of newuser info being finished by Valerie. Vandal
activity continues. FAQs being updated. PPP (scott) work progressing
slowly. Grex console died, has been temporarily replaced with janc's
Macintosh (roadtrip may supply a permanent replacement).
807 Cost reductions - aruba
Phone bill will only be exempt from state taxes, so we are still leaking
money. Aruba should be at next month's meeting with some statistics.
Much discussion of dialin lines, PPP, local members, etc. Sending mail
to 3-month users has not been done yet. Would taking credit cards pay
off? More local advertising? Dan Romanchik (danr) will be asked how to
do credit cards, etc. Also need to enter a credit card item in Coop.
