                   ------------
                        $558.27

Ending Balance $5,792.92

Our balance as of 4/30 breaks down as follows:

$5,533.15 General Fund
  $139.86 Silly Hat Fund
   $60.00 Spare Parts Fund
   $59.91 TOP sponsorship fund

There was no activity in the Grex Store this month, so the balances remain at:

                         Cash Stock
                     --------- ---------
                      ($46.60) $301.60

We had 9 new members (seeker, tpryan, vanloons, crhouck, patowc, gustorm,
ronnie, hhsrat, and yargo) and no returning members in April.
We are currently at 105 members, 92 of whom are paid through at least
May 15th. (The rest expired recently and are in a grace period.)

Notes:

    - Credit card business is brisk; we took in 294.00 this month in credit
card transactions. Of our 9 new members, 7 joined by credit card.
    - The monthly fee from Charge Solutions is wrong, I believe. They said
they wouldn't charge us a monthly service fee, only per-transaction
fees, but a $20 service fee showed up. I'm working on getting that
      back.
    - The one-time setup fee for Discover cards finally showed up. They said,
back in January, that a $25 fee would show up sometime in March. It
finally got here. We're not currently accepting Discover cards, mainly
for lack of turning on the appropriate service on the web page, which we
haven't done because we're not sure it's a good idea.
    - The reimbursement to scg was a transfer of funds, taken out of General
and put into TOP sponsorship. I included as both a credit and a debit.

Thanks to everyone who contributed in April:
yargo, hhsrat, swa, atticus, mwg, ronnie, gustorm,
patowc, crhouck, vanloons, wasf, satindra, bruin,
aruba, flem, tpryan, jmsaul, quail, coyote, seeker, and scg

Thanks everyone!

Greg, could you detail those credit card fees for us? That $26.50 fee is
not what I understood we were agreeing to at all.

You're quite right. The fees break down to a $25 Montly Service Fee and
transaction fees.
Our contract says that we do not owe any monthly service fee, and that we
owe $0.50 fee for each "transaction". In the email I got for April's fees
(the 26.50 is for March's fees; I did not get any email about that), it
charges us for "Network Accesses", at $0.25 / access.
I sent email to the support address specified, but haven't seen anything
from them yet. I'm going to call in the near future and see if I can't talk
to a human.

Was that $61.50 total fees for credit card services (two separate amounts)?
If so, after subtracting $6/month for seven new members, we are $20 or so
behind but could soon end up ahead. Thanks for all the hard work on this,
past and present treasurers.
