T-shirt, mug, etc., imprinted with your choice of photo
|
May 19 05:04 UTC 1996 |
Donated by TS Taylor (tsty):
A t-shirt and ceramic beverage mug. Before you get all enthused about this
there is more, yes, *more* to this than would ordinarily be considered.
Photographically imprinted onto either will be the IMAGE OF YOUR CHOICE!
And this image can be photographically printed onto either the front
or back of the t-shirt .. or printed for a left-hander or right=hander
on the ceramic beverage mug. And you receive your original image
returned to you unscathed.
Any computer image in jsut about any format ( i can convert about 40
different types) - Any photograph (not film negative, sorry, the transfer
is exhorbitantly expensive) you have of any reasonable size, any film
positive (like a large-format slide, larger than 35mm) will work just fine.
The smallest real-life image that will fill the space available is
approx 1.25 inches on it's shortest axis. (like the center section
of a drug store print)
For a slightly higher bid, you may also have two lines of text superimposed
over the image, either across the top/bottom or up/down the left/right
edge, as you should specify, or a combination up/left/bottom/down/right/top.
don't worry about breaking anything ... the Borg has seen the ugliest mug
in existence (last Nov. i think) and its stil intact after all this time.
Ummmm, it had my face on it .... <g> ... and my email address, fwiw.
You could choose a baseball cap, or 2x3 keychain, or 3 in round button,
or a 1 Milliion dollar bill, or something else, but t-shirts and mugs
seem to be the most useful.
Two items total are hereby offered. These are really great for gifts
or memorial thingies -or to display your own artistic creativities.
[To clarify: The two highest bidders each get one item. -vm]
TS -- What's the status of shipping these? Are you paying, or would the
person buying the item pay for shipping?

as for delivery, if it's somewhat local to A2 the winnerz and i can
work it out. remember, the winnerz have to get some sort of picture
to me to print onto the mug or shirt.
i guess i could split the shippng costs if shipping is required.

Two top bidders will win. At #12 the top bidders were Chanur and Freida.
At #14 the top bidders are Freida and Chanur. Am I missing something? What
does Freida hope to gain by that higher bid?

Non-equal bids are important, so if someone topped hers, there's no dispute
over which of the two equal bids is second.

Well, it was my understanding that it was a t-shirt or a cup that we were
bidding on. High bidder, in my assumption, gets the choice. I want the
t-shirt!, therefore, I place the high bid to get choice...understand?

high-bid-gets-choice sounds reasonable to me. ummmm, this also could
add some confusion, perhaps.
ummmmmm ........ hmmmmm .... <think happens> ..... !lightbulb
what does the assembled multitude think of this:
the two high bids can each choose one of the objects de art?
that might result in 2 t-shirts being produced, 2 ceramic mugs or
one mug and one t-shirt. any of those three outcomes are acceptable
to me.
thoughts?

(sorry to enter late into this, but I just thought of something I
want on a mug. I'm having several friends sign a piece of paper, and
have that put on a mug, to give to a friend.)
