Home cooked dinner for two
|
May 11 12:28 UTC 1996 |
Donated by Marla (qt314):
A home cooked dinner for two. The menu is as follows:
appetizer: artichoke dip with lavash crackers
main course:
salad of mixed greens with walnuts, oranges, goat
cheese in a vinaigrette
asparagus in a goat cheese sauce
roasted garlic and chive russet potatoes
baked salmon with watercress sauce
fesh baked bread
dessert: a SURPRISE!!! (however, it can be adjusted to account
for allergies or dislikes)
Those that bid on this should live in the Ann Arbor area, or have a way of
getting here as I have found that it is easier for me to do this in my home,
since I already know the utensils that I have. :)

What, don't you guys eat any more? Oh, I get it. Is it that the food is,
"good for you??"
I guess I could have donated a Big Mac instead.

Well, I'll bite (arg, a pun), but it might be a little while before I can use
it, and I'd definitely replace the asparagus with something else.

*notes that Marla's response, and his own feelings about the lack of
activity in HIS item, makes him wonder if this auction is causing
division and bad feeling among the Grex community, hence being
counterproductive to some of the bylaws*
In short, I'm extremely hurt that some comic fantaasy writer that
none of us have met is drawing the bids he's drawing,
and I'm not a name, just a person everyone knows, so
I don't get anything...
And similar for the food items.
*end of rant*

I don't think anybody is purposely bidding or not bidding to make a statement.
It just happens.

I am sorry if that came accross a bit harsh. I really did not intend to start
an arguement. Please accept my apologies. I have just had a really bad day.
I hope all of you will forgive me. I did not mean to imply anything.
with deepest apologies to all,
Marla
