The Name Game Mark Unseen   Mar 31 05:37 UTC 2002

Today I went to the UM Botanical Gardens and bought a Venus fly trap. I've
decided to name it? Suggestions?

Audrey Junior is either cliche or cute, depending on your circle of friends.

("Audrey" was the name of the plant in The Little Shop of Horrors.)

How about the totally mundane and obvious "Venus"?

#3-5: I don't know about the musical, but in the original Corman flick (with
Jack Nicholson in an early role as the dental patient), the plant was named
Audrey Junior. The florist's daughter was named Audrey.
