The newbie Mark Unseen   Mar 23 08:38 UTC 2002

I am totally new to this, but I think it's pretty sweet! I would just like
to know what the majority of people come in here for?
62 responses total.

Are you chinese?

Don't listen to bdh3. You don't have to be Chinese, although it is perfectly
OK to be Chinese. The majority of people come here to have interesting
exchanges with others on "everything under the sun". It is a form of
town meeting that is hard to find at town meetings.

Ever watched the Ann Arbor school board meetings? Its sorta like that.

And there's that one lady who gets up and whines about something every week
and no one listens...

You get the idea. :)

We gather here to expend various energies and vent various virtual
humours upon each other and upon total strangers, just for fun and
profit, minus the profit. Welcome! :)

I'm sick of lamers advertising useless web sites and IRC channels,
and especially lamers who can't be bothered to specify which is which.

I'm sick of script kiddies who keep making Matrix references.

Megazone 23 references would be cool, however.

One of these days I need to see the rest of Megazone 23. That was a pretty
cool anime.

Re #17: I think the only thing that's worse is people calling other people
"mundanes".

response 20 of 62: Mark Unseen   May 1 01:02 UTC 2002

re #19: that's definitely worse but probably not the only thing worse.
I've (so far) never heard anyone use the term but I wonder if the use
of "mundanes" will eventually be replaced by "muggles" <shudder>

#20> I've heard "muggle" being used by pagans who would have ued "mundane"
five years ago. I'm sick of both.
