There are some nice parts of NJ.
But I think it sucks that they wont let you pump your own gas.
And they charge admission to the beach. Sheesh!

Anyone who questions why NJ is "The Garden State" has never seen the
upstate areas away from the Turnpike and the GS Parkway.

Right. Under truth in advertising laws, it should probably be changed to "The
Half-Garden State," but part of Jersey is *very* nice.

NJ has a problem with racial profiling. Gov. Christie Whitman even
posed for a photo while frisking a black dude.
High Property taxes.
High Car insurance, even though every year <insert name of polititian>
makes a campaign pledge to get them lowered.
They don't sell beer in grocery stores. In some counties you can't buy
liquor on sundays except for at bars.
Newark smells.
Cost of college is one of the highest in the country.
To make a left had turn you need to get in the right lane and find a
U-turn (a.k.a Jug handle).
While driving on main roads most NJ drivers practically make a complete
stop to make a right-hand turn, rather than drive into the turn.

Check out NJ resident Tom Rockwell as Sudden Death at

first track to his new CD; "New Jersey Lifestyle" on his new
Fatal Accident Zone CD.

New Jersey has the nation's highest median household income. This mitigates
some of the "highest costs" given above.

Speaking of New Jersey, the Pine Barrens episode of "The Sopranos" will
be re-run this Sunday (the one where Chris and Paulie pursue the Russian
"interior decorator" in the snow).
