Becoming a member of Grex Mark Unseen   Mar 22 16:10 UTC 2002

Grex is run cooperatively by a not-for-profit corporation known
as Cyberspace Communications, Inc. and is totally funded by members
of the corporation. As the treasurer of Cyberspace Communications,
I'd like to say a few words about why you should become a member
of Grex. Becoming a member...

...helps keep Grex alive. Your donation helps us pay our phone
bills, electric bills, rent, and internet connection costs. These
bills currently run about $550/month. Besides, dead Grexes smell
   even worse than road kills.

...will help Grex expand so that it can offer even more services
   to its community (that's you!)

...gives you the right to vote in Grex elections. If you don't
like the way things are being run here, you can vote the bums
out, or you can call a vote on an issue you think is important.

...allows you to use our Internet link and do fancy stuff like
   telnet, ftp, irc, and more.

...wins you the undying gratitude of all who love Grex.

...will make you feel like a really great person (just a little
   poorer).

Membership costs US$6 per month or US$60 per year (cheap!). If you pay for
at least three consecutive months, you become a voting member, and if you
pay for 3 months all at once you may request a copy of the 32-page Grex
handbook, "Wizard in Training", and I'll send it to you.

Institutions are also welcome to become members of Grex, and several have.
The only restriction is that only human members may vote.

To become a Grex member, send cash, checks, or money orders to:

Cyberspace Communications, Inc.
P.O. Box 4432
Ann Arbor, MI 48106-4432

Or you can send money over the net using Paypal. See
    http://www.cyberspace.org/member.html
for more information.

(If you send cash or a money order, or use Paypal, please send a photocopy
of a current ID, such as a driver's license or student ID card. If you
send a personal check with your name pre-printed on it, that's good enough
ID for us.)

Feel free to send me mail if you have questions about membership, or see
the membership FAQ at
    http://www.cyberspace.org/memfaq.html

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

I should add that Grex is a 501(c)3 institution, and membership dues are
100% tax deductable.

We would be delighted to have another member in India, but no, I'm sorry, we
can only accept US currency. There are some suggestions for how o get that
to us at:
