Why are Roman numerals used, instead of 2, 3, 4 etc?

Heh. Yes, I have that problem. Despite the fact that I've had "John
Ellis Perry Jr." as my name as long as I've been on M-Net and Grex
(since 1986), people still here refer to my son as "John Jr."

My son says I'm Big John and he's Little John. My dad is "Old John".

I tell my son (he's 5) that we're all the same person. My mother told
me not to make my son cry.

The postal service can't seem to figure out that David Michael Brodbeck
(me) and Michael David Brodbeck (my dad) are different people. I didn't
realize this until I moved out and put in to have my mail forwarded.
Any mail he gets that has his middle name in the address gets forwarded
to me. I'm not sure what to do about this.

10: I was wondering that myself. He has the same name as his father,
but he says that's not really a problem. It certainly can't be any
more of a problem than having the same name as the bazillion other
James P. Howards in the world.

There are other people on the planet with the same name as me, but I've
never met any. It is a sufficient annoyance that I was in the same
elementary school class with another boy named "Jan." Worse, this guy,
of pure Swedish decent, decided at some point that he wanted everyone
to pronounce his name "Juan", which people then merrily tried to apply
to me. This left me with a lasting dislike for anyone with the same
name as me. I can't imagine actually having to live with one, or be
related to one. There will be no Jan Wolter II.

I've met many, many Davids. In fact, my best friend is a David. You
get used to it after a while.
