A magor crisis in the child care thingy.

Tonight Mary Wilson lost a tooth. She'd been threatening for almost a
year as many of her cohort have but we dismissed it as neither
Whats-her-name nore I had lost teeth so early (1st grade). She kept
talking about a loose tooth. And the day 1st grade pictures have been
taken she proudly showed us the gap in her jaw and the tooth as proof -
after, she has a full smile for that.
Wah! And naturally while I was out at the arab bodega getting
cigs,beer, milk, and soda the tooth fairy came and left two mexican
silver 'dancers' under her pillow and took the tooth. That clever tooth
fairy - and a spic too no doubt and I tell yah. (No more 'merican
money, the tooth fairy only seems to give 'value'. Indeed if I'd had
anything to do with it as I sure didn't it woulda been at least a 1/3
oz. mexican gold -when I lost teeth it was a genuine silver dollar and
that was good enough for me...)
Yes and Mary Wilson still believes in the tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny,
Santa Clause, and the Hannakka imp as well as the Great Pumpkin.
Someday she'll realize that there is no majic, good doesn't always
triumph over evil, republicans don't always win. but she's only almost
seven and I will try to shield her from life's unpleasantness....

Gee, that's sweet.
