(is there any interest in organizing a cookie exchange for people in
the A2 area sometime in the next week or so?)

Might've been a good idea to plan this a little earlier, carson :)

I might be interested. How would it work?

resp:1 (I wish I'd thought of it earlier. really, though, how long
does it take to make a few dozen cookies?)

resp:2 (the way I envision it, the interested people would bring
several dozen cookies, say five, to the arranged meeting
place. then the interested people would divvy up the
        cookies among themselves.)

(it's really a fun way to get together, taste a variety of
cookies, and have an assortment of cookies ready for Christmas
        guests without all the work.)

The insidious thing is that you can rationalize it by telling yourself
you're doing it to be social, when really you're in it for the five dozen
  cookies you wind up with..

Heh...

Five dozen cookies:

20 mins prep
50-60 mins in oven *total* if you do five pans of 12 cookies each
20 mins in grocery store for cookie ingredients
Cool-down and take-off-cookie-cooling-rack time

Hmmm...ain't gonna happen with this birdy this week. =(

We did this a long time ago when we were all on MNet, and it was a lot of fun.
It does indeed work as carson suggests. As I recall, we even sang Christmas
carols. I'm sure I could whip up five dozen cookies pretty quickly. When are
we going to do this? Who's going to host?

This sounds like fun. I have memories of that event Dan--it was at
Denise's place, correct? If at all possible I'd love to do this.

OK, since no one else has taken the lead, I'll volunteer my place, Saturday
at 4. I'll send mail to everyone local who responded in this item.

Thanks, Mark, for hosting!!

Present were aruba, valerie, janc, drew, and yours truly. A truly sweet time
was had by all.

(We're still wondering what happened to carson.)
