General Announcements Mark Unseen   Sep 23 03:35 UTC 2000

This is the general announcements item - the first of several
announcement items. Later items are more specific - announcements
about Grex, Grex system problems, why you're happy, why you're
bummed, etc.

If you have something general to announce to Grexers, this is the
place to put it!

IWLTA with deep sadness that cancer has claimed the lives of an Emmy-
winning television star and a former world leader.

Richard Mulligan (age 67) died of cancer in California today. He is
best remembered for his roles in the "Soap" and "Empty Nest" sitcoms.

Pierre Trudeau (age 80) lost his battle with prostate cancer today. He
was the Prime Minister of Canada for a decade and a half in the 1960's
through the 1980's (with a short break in that tenure by Progressive
Conservative PM Joe Clark in 1979-80).

<A moment of silence for Messrs. Mulligan and Trudeau.>

I'm looking for a free or very cheap 4 or 8 bit color monitor in good working
order, preferably 12+ inches diagonal.

it is for a light board for a 501(c)3 non-profit theatre.

I would love to see 2/3 of the Roches.... they are still performing as
a trio, right?

They seem to be doing lots of work in smaller units these days.
I've never heard anything about why this is so.

They don't perfrom as a trio anymore. Suzzy performs solo. Maggie is
joining her on this date, to my delight.

I wish to announce that I can't seem to find a "Grexer sighting"
item in this edition of Agora. Is this because there really isn't
one, or am I just overlooking it?

response 22 of 222: Mark Unseen   Oct 12 00:41 UTC 2000

Obviously what we need is a Grexer Sighting Item Sighting Item.

Yeah right.

Okay, I'll assume there's no sighting item and go start one.

Following the lead of other famous grexers, I have moved, after living in
the same house for nineteen years. There is still a few (dozen) things to
get from the old place, but most of the painful parts are all over. I've
nearly tripled my living space, and don't have a clue what to do with it
all. Mostly my good stuff and my wife and kid's junk, tho they seem to
have a different view of it all.
