Dream interpretation needed
|
Dec 1 00:56 UTC 2000 |
I need someon to interpret my dream
I went home today after work, felt tired, so I went to bed. I didn't watch
news like I ususally do, so not a lot of new news about the election. I had
a waking dream/hallucination as follows:
I was having dinner with Al Gore, George Bush Sr., Ronald Reagan and their
wives. I kept getting into near wrestling matches with Al, but breaking them
of so I wouldn't possibly hurt the man who might be president. I showed
George Bush how to fold a tablecloth. Ronald reagan seem fully cognizant.
Cheney came in and scolded George for not knowing how to fold.
Anyone want to tell me what it all means?

It's a homoerotic fantasy. You want to jump Al Gore's bones, but are
afraid of offending George - who you like better as a person, but you
just can't quite lust after. You and George seem compatible like spouses,
and can do tasks together (that may, in fact, allude to folding sheets,
or making your marital bed), but you also perceive Dick Cheney as having
a marital interest in George - which perhaps helps explain why you are
more attracted to Al.

re #1: Perhaps you missed where he said it was George Bush, Sr..
I think it's all perfectly clear once you realize that Gore, Bush,
and Reagan represent the powers of the Triple Entente. Obviously,
Bruce, you still have some unresolved issues relating to WWI.

Well, I think it's obvious that folding the tablecloth means that Cheney was
much more in touch with the common man (doing real chores, etc.) I have no
idea why Ronald Reagan would be rational.

Twila said I might be morphing George and George Sr. into one person. No,
it wasn't homo-erotic, I real saw Gore as more personable than I do in real
life, but it was the fear of the Secret Service that was stopping me. I agree
that I see Cheney as closer in tune to the common man.

It means that you've subconsciously realised that, much like the
pairing of Reagan and Bush, where Bush was portrayed as loveable and
incompetent (despite having managed the CIA for decades), in the pairing of
Dubya and Cheney, that Cheney may be the real brains of the outfit.
The wrestling match seems odd but indicative of at least somewhat
friendly conflict - you may disagree with Gore's views or political
affiliations, but don't actually wish him any ill will.
I'm still puzzled by the bit about Reagan being cognizent. Reagan,
even at the peak of his political career and the zenith of his consciousness,
was never all that much there.

<DRIFT>
I had thought Bush was the Director of the CIA for only a few years, and
appointed from outside the organization.

Yeah I agree. I can really see the homoerotic aspects of this dream. It
is nothing to be ashamed of Bruce. Lots of heterosexual people have such
dreams.

In your case, it means that you are either a gay man, or that you were
born on the wrong side of the tracks. I'm betting on the latter.

It could be that a rail line is so close to her house, that the earth
trembles when trains go by....
