A few months ago I wrote a page about the best Hot Wings on the planet made of course by yours truly. Unfortunatly, I stated that "any old bleu cheese dressing would be fine for serving these with.
So, about 6 weeks ago, I received an e-mail from Challye Hammond who told me in no uncertain terms that I was 1) crazy and 2) misguided.. I was also forwarded a recipe to try and decide for myself.
I made a batch, and Challye was right, it is the best bleu cheese on the planet. Here is the recipe.
Challye's Bleu Cheese Dressing
In a large bowl combine the mayo and buttermilk. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients and put into 2-2qt jars. Refrigerate and enjoy over salad or anything you like.
*About the cheese
I personally prefer a strong bleu cheese like Danish Blue, or Maytag, which in my estimation is the best thing going. You may use any bleu cheese you like but your results will vary.
