#54 of 860 by dang on Wed Oct 5 17:20:55 1994:
Sure, especially if it was one of the non-answer answers we seem to

How did power corrupt me if I have none?
#55 of 860 by anne on Wed Oct 5 17:45:48 1994:
maybe it was the idea of power that corrupted you.
Should I not mention that I feel sick, and am therefore not in a good mood?
#56 of 860 by carson on Wed Oct 5 22:50:54 1994:
yeah, don't mention it. If no one knows that you're sick, no one will

um... maybe he's going senile?
#63 of 860 by facelift on Sat Oct 8 00:36:13 1994:

I am a PE fan.
Why do I sometimes have such good luck (Like playing a concert with two of
my favorite bands in the history of Rock & roll (Tiger 100, and the Jaks))
and still get screwed over by teachers, friends, zebras, stuff like that?
Ok, maybe not zebras.
#64 of 860 by scg on Sat Oct 8 02:16:57 1994:

Will carson tell us, or will we ask Sara?
#75 of 860 by scg on Wed Oct 12 19:20:21 1994:
Depends what mood carson's in, and how up to date Sara is on the situation.
Why did that cold have to get me too?
#76 of 860 by carson on Wed Oct 12 22:06:57 1994:
because it likes people!
I slept for nearly eighteen hours yesterday/today. isn't that a great

If you could be any age right now, what age would you be, and why?
#84 of 860 by anne on Sat Oct 15 17:59:51 1994:
I would be the age I am now, 19. Cause I'm mostly free from my parents,
I can go places, but I also don't have al the responsibilities of a 'real'
adult. I have a few years yet to be weird before I have to settle down
and get a full time job abd stuff.
If you could Live in any age- when would it be, and why?
#85 of 860 by treelawn on Sun Oct 16 19:26:40 1994:
Any age? Like what time period.....Hm.... Well, that'd take me a good ten
pages at least, and a huge phylisophical discussion.. I'm perfectly satisfied
with right now. Although some things could be better, why worry?
#86 of 860 by carson on Tue Oct 18 04:43:36 1994:
if we no worry, we be happy.

#87 of 860 by eeyore on Tue Oct 18 16:40:19 1994:

#88 of 860 by scg on Tue Oct 18 19:30:49 1994:
I think carson meant swapping a car engine with another car engine (see
his trip item in Agora).
Anybody ever swapped a car engine with another car engine?
#89 of 860 by carson on Tue Oct 18 21:19:25 1994:
I will have by this time tomorrow.
what do you do to stay awake during a nine hour car trip?
#90 of 860 by scg on Tue Oct 18 21:53:57 1994:
While I can't claim to have driven nine hours non stop, my 4.5 hour drive
back from Macinac Island (leaving at 10PM) after the hardest bike race
I've ever done sure felt like one. The things I did to stay awake
weredrinking lots and lots of Mountain Dew (yuck!) and periodically
getting out of the car and running around the rest areas to get my blood
circulating again. I also did stop at a gas station and took a 20 minute
nap when I got to the point where I really didn't think I could go any
more without falling asleep at the wheel. I also find I'm much better at
staying awake when I'm driving than when I'm a passenger. That's good,
I think.
Would you want to take a non stop nine hour car trip?
#91 of 860 by carson on Wed Oct 19 04:42:03 1994:
seeing as I'd be doing so to see fireball and yagi, my answer is a
most resounding "YES!!"
of course, this begs the question: would you walk the 500 miles?
#92 of 860 by treelawn on Wed Oct 19 23:58:42 1994:
And I would walk 500 miles. For what? I don't think I can handle 500 FEET,
ch less MILES
#93 of 860 by eeyore on Thu Oct 20 14:35:16 1994:
and i would walk 500 miles, and i would walk 500 more, just to be the man
who'd walk 1000 miles to fall down at your door.
why is yagi in the same place as fireball/
#94 of 860 by srobert1 on Thu Oct 20 23:50:59 1994:
I loved that song. Everytime I hear it I want to go iron myself a cheese
saitch.
Who is fireball and yagi ???
#95 of 860 by anne on Fri Oct 21 18:07:23 1994:

I(in answer to eeyore's question- ask Carson, he told me, but I promptly
forgot. <anne shrugs>)
Why did someone tell me that a meeting I was supposed to attend last night
was at 9:30pm when it was really at 7:30, and so by the time I got there
everyone had gone? Why why??
#96 of 860 by carson on Fri Oct 21 22:25:24 1994:
same reason I went to see Yagi and HER!! in concert and missed them
both.
do you deserve a break today?
#97 of 860 by anne on Sat Oct 22 20:31:57 1994:
Yes! But i think it's over.

#102 of 860 by eeyore on Mon Oct 24 13:07:18 1994:
oh, just peachy.
why does life suck so bad?
#103 of 860 by carson on Mon Oct 24 16:27:40 1994:
because if it sucked good, it wouldn't be life.
how the heck do you get from Ithaca to Bronxville?!?
#104 of 860 by gerund on Mon Oct 24 21:16:05 1994:

#105 of 860 by carson on Tue Oct 25 04:14:04 1994:

Pete and Repeat were sitting on a bridge. Pete fell over. Who
was left?
#106 of 860 by eeyore on Tue Oct 25 12:17:59 1994:

Why the HELL do I have stomach cramps right now?
#111 of 860 by eeyore on Wed Oct 26 13:25:05 1994:

why does my body also hate me?
#112 of 860 by gerund on Wed Oct 26 23:55:43 1994:
I do not know.
Why do friends turn out to sometimes not be friends?
#113 of 860 by carson on Thu Oct 27 02:37:22 1994:

#115 of 860 by carson on Thu Oct 27 05:53:16 1994:

Why am I on Grex when I should be reading my Brit hist homework?
#119 of 860 by eeyore on Thu Oct 27 16:43:53 1994:

toclass.
and that reason is...?
#120 of 860 by gerund on Thu Oct 27 17:22:24 1994:
Grex is addictive, we're all a bunch of lazy procrastinators, and
we'd RATHER do this than what we're SUPPOSED to be doing.

Go to a public hospital ER that is legally bound to accept indigent and
partial-pay patients. Call 'em up and ask if they are Hill-Burton or
Medicaid, and a "YES" to those questions means they have to accept
no or partial payment for services rendered because they receive federal
funding. Don't go to a private hospital. They employ collection agents
named "Vince the Pick" and the like.

really haven't done much of this semester)! We start our finals one week
from today, except for my badmitton final (my favorite class!), which

When is butting in for a friend helpful, and when is it none of their
business?
#355 of 860 by gerund on Thu Dec 15 11:25:35 1994:
It's none of their business when you decide it's none of their business.
It's their business if you want their 'buttin in'.
Just remember most friends 'butt in' out of pure motives.
And now I need to ask one....
When you love someone very much, but know your very presence is causing
them problems, how do you pull away?

If you honestly believe that butting in will save your friend a lot
of pain, go for it.

Not entirely.
How do you communicate your feelings and have someone actually understand?
#642 of 860 by carson on Wed Feb 1 12:57:36 1995:
ask them if they understand. tell them to interrupt if they need to.
ask them to work with you and to not hesitate to "put words in your
mouth," because if they know what you're about to say, they pribly
have a good idea of how you're feeling, and you'll know that you're
getting somewhere.

meant it?

I don't know what you should major in. If you're not on your
way to finishing grad studies in 3 years, take 4. Try to have
an out-of-school experience (either work or internship or
something) while in school. If you become a graduate student,
take as long as you can. Don't let life get in the way of your
education.

Does Meg think all 17 year old males are stupid, or just some of them?
#700 of 860 by carson on Wed Feb 15 13:02:13 1995:
she probably thinks that some of them are stupid all of the time, and
all of them are stupid some of the time. Clinical studies would

why are men so polite as to not think women stupid? (or at least
to not say so)

men are more educated.
was that sexist?
#702 of 860 by eeyore on Thu Feb 16 14:54:40 1995:
no, it's the truth. unfortunately society still treats men with more respect
then women, and so they get the better education.
re. 699: no steve, not all 17 year old males are stupid...i'm just bitching
about one in particualr...and have been for a while, so don't mind me!

reading about what the phone company has put STeve and Grex through, I'm
hesitant to call them and ask to get it fixed (I checked the network
interface box, and the noise is in their lines, not in my house wiring).
Doesn't the word bastard mean that the person being referred to was
illegitimate, not their parents.
