"Silence"

Silence
A small spot of emptiness
Where echos cease to exist
And the gentle thump thump
Chug thump
Skips a chug or a thump
And I could swear it's a heart attack
Or the beginning of my demise
But I close my eyes
And clench my teeth
And there you are
Pristine clarity shows me the way
I reach out
Touch your hand
And the silence stops
The spot is filled
