I was just wondering who many people read this conference, since that's a
measure of how well it is working. Since the start of the new year, this
conference has been visited by
7 out of 7 board members.
7 out of 9 staff members
(steve, kip, gelinas, spooked, remmers, srw, janc, not dang, not mdw)
40 out of 84 members.
86 out of 21,412 users.
The basis of these numbers is the "participants" command, which is accessible
to all users, but which is very, very slow. It also misses some users who's
.cfdirs are not publically readable (I fixed a few such that I happened to
know were in the conference).
Probably more people came in here this week than usually do. I don't think
srw routinely reads coop.
Mostly I consider that pretty good. I'd been worried that there were only
a couple dozen people left here.
17 responses total.
Err, don't I count as grex staff anymore? yeah, I resigned, but then I came back. But I'm leaving again in two weeks. Hmm....
(I've been assuming that you're still on staff.)
Gracias, Prof Remmers.
OK, I'm not up to date. I lose track.
Re #3: Given that you're still participating in the staff conference and staff mail, it wasn't a huge leap on my part.
This response has been erased.
I would probably read Coop more regularly if the Signal:Noise ratio was better. That probably goes with the territory of any unmoderated forum though.
You just mean you're not doing your civic duty.
By the way: Here's what ball originally posted: #6 of 6: by Andy Ball (ball) on Tue, Feb 10, 2004 (09:16): I don't read Coop as often as I should. I'm fairly busy, but I should make the time more often to stick my head around the door :-/
Who cares.
Re #8 & #9: Case in point.
The reason that there are so many "new response items" is that DF tod scribbled all his response again.
