Grex Oldcoop Conference

Item 295: An item which will be ignored by anyone with any position at all on Grex (PROBABLY> THERE ARE A FEW STAFF MEMBERS WHO I THINK *MIGHT* JUST BE NICE ENOUGH TO RESPOND)

Entered by scholar on Sun Nov 20 04:30:29 2005:

Should Grex just shut down?

When Grex is down, M-Net is more fun than either M-Net or Grex when they're
both up.

Scholar, what have YOU done for Grex?

#2 of 25 by naftee on Sun Nov 20 04:36:41 2005:

uh ! i think the BBS is more fun, yeah, but the party isn't. i don't like
it that much when GreXers are in party and start writing four or five line
phrases.

Re. 1: Most recently, I made a decent suggestion that's going to be ignored
for two reasons.

1) People on Grex, generally, have a very negative (though unfounded)
impression of M-Net, its users, and the way it's run.

2) I'm someone who people on Grex don't respect.

 > I'm someone who people on Grex don't respect.

You have to earn respect. It isn't given away.

#5 of 25 by naftee on Sun Nov 20 05:13:50 2005:

um, nate. Ever hear the expression 'give them respect' ?

learn English, you fuck.

Poor naftee. You are such a dolt sometimes.

Re. 4: Didn't suggest otherwise, dear.

I dunno (re #3) I don't see 1/10th as much hostility on Grex about mnet
as I see on mnet about grex. mnetters really truly hate grex, grexers
mostly don't care about mnet one way or the other.

#9 of 25 by nharmon on Sun Nov 20 17:03:59 2005:

Some grexers like mnet. I am among these.

Re. 8: More people who self identify as M-Netters use Grex than people who
self identify as Grexers use M-Net.

Ok, asswipe^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hscholar. Grex is shutting down. Better leave

Listen, Mister, I ain't going to fall for your jewtricks.

#13 of 25 by other on Sun Nov 20 22:30:59 2005:

Shoot! And I'd have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those
darn kids!

gives you a free shell account.

not that anyone will read this, respect is something that should be given
openely and evenly without reguard of race, color, or creed it's trust that
has to be earned not respect.

common human flaw to think respect for another is an earned item. trust is
though.

#19 of 25 by nharmon on Sun Mar 11 13:13:14 2007:

Does anyone else see the irony in trig explaining the concept of RESPECT?

#20 of 25 by tod on Sun Mar 11 20:31:16 2007:

I don't think its ironic.

#21 of 25 by nharmon on Sun Mar 11 21:53:37 2007:

Todd. It's like you explaining the eucharist to Grexers.

#22 of 25 by twenex on Sun Mar 11 22:06:11 2007:

Wouldn't be the first time a Jewish person has shown himself more up on
Xtianity than Xtian acquaintances, and I'm not just talking about correcting
them on where Judaism says Xtianity misinterprets something.

#23 of 25 by nharmon on Sun Mar 11 22:22:47 2007:

It'd still be ironic. AUGH.

#24 of 25 by tod on Sun Mar 11 22:47:11 2007:

re #21
It would only be ironic to somebody whom doesn't know that my Saturday
afternoons as a child were spent at an in-house Catholic Mass and Sunday
mornings were spent at First Bethany Church of Christ in St.Clair Shores.
My father and step-mom were heavily involved with Interfaith Justice which
had a deep influence on my theology studies while in college and the military.
Of course, for Grexers, I would simply tell them that a Eucharist is normally
(3) different things: 1) Observance of Jesus through ritual of the last
supper, 2) Thanksgiving for the Greeks, and 3) What you call a Yooper who
always wants to play Euchre. ;)
