I guess this is the meeting where the board members have to draw straws or
something and see who gets stuck with being treasurer for the next year.

Richard. Shut up. You are being even more stupid than is usual for you.

What's worse: You can't see how stupid you are being. :(

News flash, mynxcat: YOU are one of the annoying ones. YOU are part of
the problem. I invite you to re-read this conference, concentrating on
the responses from "mynxcat" and consider them as a third person. *JUST*
this conference; no need to torture yourself with your reponses in agora,
 present or past, nor international.

I have a feeling Richard was attempting to be amusing... Key word
attempting. Unfortunately- without any success.

#6...I was trying to be amusing, didn't realize it was such a
sensitive issue. sheesh.

#8 of 23 by gelinas on Mon Jan 10 20:40:19 2005:

The flak we've taken since the election started has made it a sensitive
issue. I'd appreciate it being dropped.

#9 of 23 by mfp on Mon Jan 10 21:50:59 2005:

  Drop yourself, gelinas.

As an outsider to the Board discussions, like Richard, it was not
apparent to me that his comment was offensive or insensitive. His
comment didn't have me bursting out with hilarious laughter or
anything, but it didn't seem out of line when I first read it.

I do hope someone will step forward as treasurer soon.

I don't think blaming Richard, or for that matter, being short with any
user, is going to help to alleviate the problem, if there is one.

Yeah. Personally I think Richard touched a nerve.

Mostly, Richards been in a tizzy for quite some time over who will
be the next treasurer. He has been reassured, over and over again,
that the board will see to it the job gets done. That hasn't seemed
to make a difference.

But I am glad to hear he's moved from agonizing over the imagined
situation to finding it amusing. That's a step in the right
direction.

-- Change of Address for BOD Meeting --

The Board will meet at 1418 Broadway, Ann Arbor, MI 48105
(my place).

Finding this place is not for the fainthearted. Broadway is in
northeast Ann Arbor, off Plymouth Road. 1418 Broadway is about
1000 feet up the Broadway hill from the samamall shopping
center where Kroger's used to be. If you are coming from that
direction (going northeast up Broadway), our house is just past
the third speed hump on the right side of the street.

If you are coming from the other direction (going southwest
down the Broadway hill), our house is on the left, past the
fourth speed hump.

Within walking distance, finally. Some chance we may show up, depending on
the weather and our health.

It would be great to see you, Sindi!

I won't be able to be at the meeting Friday (free Pistons tickets), but if
any of the old and/or new board [still] consider the seriously dwindling grex
membership a concern, I would welcome a discussion be held re: possibly
contacting former members to see if there were something which could be done
to grex (or possibly already has been done, e.g. nextgrex), some change(s),
which would result in them re-upping as members.

#18 of 23 by keesan on Thu Jan 13 04:21:56 2005:

I have already contacted a former member. Other people could tell their
friends.
