Happy/Upbeat : Queen: Don't Stop Me Now Sad : Don Henley - New York Minute Anger: Nothing. I just want to stew in it without interruption or influence. Peace/relaxation: Enigma, Ernesto Cortazar
I've been known to play NIN on good headphones as loud as I can crank it when I'm really angry. It's probably bad for my eardrums, but it sure channels that agression. This technique has much in common with beating my head against a wall, I think.
I forgot to my guilty pleasure. I very occasionally tune in to a country music station. I enjoy the sappy lyrics from time to time. I usually change the station around the time I feel the urge to put a gun in my mouth.
No matter what kind of mood I'm in, even if I'm driving down the street crying my brains out, hitting "Spirit of Radio" by Rush makes everything go away....even if I just hit in the last 30 seconds or so. I have no idea why... Bad Religion is also good for releasing aggression, as well as "Closer" by NIN. (nothing more satisfiying than screaming "I want to fuck you like an animal" really really loudly)
Speaking of which, did you ever hear the cover of "Closer" by the Nine Inch Johnsons? They didn't change the lyrics, but added a country twang with occasional sheep bleating.
My personal favorite is "Closer to Mario". :)
The Spice Hoochies..er, I mean, Girls, was a guilty pleasure.
