(there may already be an item just for this purpose. Sorry, I'm a music cf newbie) This morning on WCBN, I heard an incredible banjo (I think, it may have been some other string instrument) version of "Blowin in the Wind" I'm trying to find out who played it, and where can I get a copy of one of their CD's. It was really really great.7 responses total.
Hi Eric, welcome to the music conference! I don't have a direct answer for you. WCBN has three shows on early Saturday morning and afternoon -- Breakfast With Bill Monroe, The Folk Show, and The Down Home Show. My first suggestion is to look at the WCBN web site and find some e-mail addresses to write and ask.
tony trishka is a good bet tho. heck, any of them *newgrassers* mighta.
Okay.. I heard a song... the only part of it i remember is "cuz i like you... yeah i like you... blah blah blah blah... woo hoo hoooo!". What the hell song is this?!?! I've gotta know the name!
I found it. Called the WCBN dj this morning. the version I heard is by David West, on the album "Pickin on Dylan"
Well, this item sounds like my question belongs right here. At least I didn't see a better place for it. (maybe in the movie conference?) OK, in the movie Final Destination (which ran some time last year), a song can be heard which is with a very high probability fron Nine Inch Nails. Can anybody tell me the name of that song? I tried finding a tracklisting of the Soundtrack, but came up with nothing. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
It's from "The FRagile," assuming the line is "Pictures in my head of the final destination" (that's the line I heard in that movie, at any rate). The song is "Into the Void" (yes, you're right about it being NIN). I believe you hear all or part of the stanza coming from someone's car radio: "Talking to myself all the way to the station / Pictures in my head of the final destination / All lined, all the ones that aren't allowed to stay / Tried to save mysef, but myself keeps slipping away"
Yeah, that's it, many thousand thanks!
