Does anyone know anything about maybe an episode of the muppet show guest starring Michael Stipe? I found about 45 seconds of music from the possible episode on napster but that was all that was available and I've never seen it since. I'm interested in obtaining a copy of that show, if it exists.
Are you thinking of the Sesame Street episode where REM performed "Shiny Furry Monsters"?
Ooh...they showed that on VH1 during the Behind the Music special. I loved that episode. =) The muppets (monsters) seemed to dig it too...
yeah we got part of it on napster and it rocks
Yes, gnatalie, that's it exactly! I want a copy of that show. Is there an REM behind the music? <A muppet show behind the music would certianly be interesting to say the least>
I dunno....I'm not sure I could stomach the fifteen minutes of tragic flashbacks to Grover's drug-ridden days of despair part.
A muppet show behind the music would take a few hours. And Grover wasn't on the Muppet Show (unless he had a cameo).
Grover had a cameo. There was one episoed of the original Muppet Show where the Sesame Street characters showed up and sang their theme song.
I wouldn't be surprised if Grover had been on a few times, he just wasn't a regular "Cast member"... the only muppet regular on both to my memory was KErmit.
Kermit's nephew Robin also showed up on both. And there was a Christmas special of some sort with the muppets, the sesame street monsters, and some of the critters from Fraggle Rock. No, Grover wasn't a Muppet Show regular, but I found the idea of him struggling with a heroin addiction just too amusing to pass up.
Oh, god, what's that movie? You know, the one with all the pseud-muppets addicted to smack and having orgies? <saw it in art class in Pitt>
Meet The Feebles. A great movie from the twisted mind of Peter Jackson, dierctor of the upcoming Lord of the Rings movies.
YES! Do you have a copy of meet the feebiles???!?!?!
Of course.
