Update: Melanie is coming to Green Wood on Fri, Apr 7. Tickets $20 in advance by calling 734-665-8558 (leave message) or sending check/m.o. to: Green Wood Coffee House, 1001 Green Rd Ann Arbor Mi 48105. Tickets at the door will be $25, but I don't expect there will be any left by then. The seating is general admission either way; doors at 7:30. This is a very rare opportunity to see Melanie in an intimate setting. Bob Fest will happen on Fri May 19.
Would you care to give a bit more detail? And will there ever be a Tom Waits Fest?
What details would you like? A Waits Fest would be great. If someone would organize it, Green Wood would be happy to host it.
Well, will Melanie be doing any of her Spice Girls material? ;) ;) ;) If not, then what?

is the green wood taking over where the ark left off?
(Where did the Ark leave off?)
The Ark seems to have shifted focus away from the wealth of local talent in favor of more established regional, national and international artists.
Re: Melanie -- we're getting ticket orders from people who will be driving from Kansas, Minnesota, and Illinois. Methinks Melanie ought to visit the Midwest more often!
Well, if Melanie will not come to the Midwest, then let the Midwest come to Melanie..
