We have it on our calendar and plan to be there! I'd like to put in a request for "Desperado". ;-)
Katie has a CD and a poetry book now? Far out! Agora has one distinguished fw!
(Andy *may* have been a student teacher of mine when I was in high school!)
He's a teacher now in Wayne.
I noticed that one of the band members was Tom Wachterhauser. I believe that he was a pastor at First United Methodist Church in Ann Arbor for several years. Is that or is that not correct?
(And years ago, Jackie Callis was a co-worker at a drugstore in Ypsi.)
Tom was a pastor at FUMC for 17 years, until July 1997. He is now senior (and only) pastor at Davison UMC.

We've been to two of katie's concerts at Green Wood, and loved them both. I hope we can make it again this week.
Could I have a comparison to other (known) band to place the music? And if this appeals to me I'd opt for an order (trans-Atlantic).
I plan to be there.
To me, Katie sometimes sounds like a combination of Patsy Cline and Judy Garland. She is her own singer, though. I've heard her sing Patsy Cline songs and do a better job than Patsy Cline. (And I like Patsy Cline a lot.) When she sang a song called "Words on a Wall" last year around this time of the year, as a Veteran's Day memorial, a song lamenting people who disappeared in Vietnam and other foreign wars, it stuck in my mind and I couldn't get it out of my head for weeks. Katie sang at my wedding 3 years ago (our anniversary is November 24), and also made our wedding cake; extremely nice wedding gifts! Unfortunately we can't make it this week; we are Cub Scout leaders and there's a pack meeting on Friday. I'm pretty bummed.
As Mary said earlier, we plan to be there. Haven't heard Katy perform in too long; I'm really looking forward to it.
I got a code and couldn't be there. Bummer. I expect it was a wonderful concert. Don't tell me if she sang Desperado. It will only make me feel worse.
We set a record for attendance at a Green Wood Coffee House concert; one- hundred fifty-six people. With the ticket sales and sales of twenty-four CDs and five books, we raised fifteen hundred dollars for the Coffee House, plus the food and drink money (I can`t type #s or my keyboard farts). I had a great time.
Where can I buy a copy of your CD, other than at a coffee house, katie? If I can get one today or tomorrow, I'd really like to do it!
They are at Green Wood; I can catch up with you in the next 48 hrs if you let me know how. I`ll e-mail you.
Thanks!
Wow. Katie has a CD? Well, I remember hearing that version of "Crazy" that she recorded on the spot at some fair many years ago, and it was great, so somehow I'm not surprised. But things sure do change, don't they? In any case, Katie, that's great. I'm sure proud.
It is an excellent CD. I gave a copy to aandrea for our anniversary, and she's been playing it just about non-stop. I recommend this one very highly. Katie says she has a 2nd one coming out soon. I can't wait. I hope it's ready for Christmas!
