Welcome to the resart of the music conference. This is the conf to talk about all forms of music except western classical music. People interested in classical music should join the classical music conf for discussions of plain chant to Eliot Carter. So start tawkin', err ummm I mean singinig, no, no, I mean posting already.7 responses total.
I am in the header - hi I looked at the introduction and I did not notice any realy hard rock posts. any body who would like to talk about PINK FLOYD - they are one of my favourite groups and and my other likes are of the same level say - ZZ top, LED zep, DOORS etc
raj, i like pink floyd, led zephlin, and the doors.. never really got very into them tho.. can't speak for zz top tho.
I went to see Pink Floyd at Grant Field in Atlanta about three years ago. However, I really had trouble enjoying the show, because I had a cold, and most of the people there were drunk. I also like the doors. Remember when they were on the Ed Sulivan Show, "Girl we couldn't get much higher." (No! I'm not that old!.)
Hi! Ken made me come here. It's all his fault... If I manage to figure this thing out, you can look forward to (or dread) a variety of contributions. I like a lot of music, and I always enjoy learning more. Occasionally, I manage to make a concert, and I'll be glad to share my experiences. I've hosted and co-hosted some radio shows, played some intruments, and generally hung out at record stores too much.
What kind of shows have you hosted and co-hosted. I, myself, am studying broadcasting at the State University of West Georgia.
Since this item is the first thing anyone sees when they enter the music conference for the first time, I'm going to be a heavy-handed fairwitness and freeze it so it doesn't grow beyond introductory material. We have a radio discussion just beginning in item #25, and I would like to encourage Mark and John to discuss their broadcasting experiences there. Item #2 contains personal introductions to many of the conference contributors. Thanks!!
Welcome to newcomers to the Grex music conference!!
If you are looking for the Pink Floyd discussion, see item #131. :)
The Music conference has gotten pretty full; this version of it
is over two years old. If you came to Grex via telnet or direct
dial, here are my suggestions for getting up to speed:
at the 'OK:' prompt, type r since 2/1
to read discussions in the conference since February 1.
Replace that 2/1 date with a date between two weeks and two months
ago, depending on how much you want to read.
Next, at the 'OK:' prompt, type browse
to see all the subject lines. Note down the item numbers of any
subject lines which look promising. To read item 131, the Pink Floyd
item, type r 131
At the bottom of each item, the prompt will read 'Respond or pass?'
There is a third choice: forget
Use 'forget' whenever you find an item too boring to bother with.
((If you came to Grex through the Web interface, none of these
commands apply to you. Backtalk, the Web interface, is pretty
intuitive for most users.))
To get back to see item 1 & these instructions again,
from the 'OK:' prompt, type: r 1
Thanks for visiting our Music conference! There is also a
