System problems should be reported in Agora, and followed up with an email to help@cyberspace.org. Due to severe staffing problems, most of them will not be resolved in a timely fashion. It's unfortunate that an all-volunteer organization does not have enough volunteers, but it is reality. Multiple posting will not get us more staff.
I stopped by Provide.Net today; they are now closed on the weekends. I didn't have time to contact them by other means to request access.
Thanks a lot Joe. For the technology-minded, we use the RT Helpdesk trouble ticket reporting system. This helps staff prioritize and track problems, and be sure none fall through the cracks. However, just because it's on the list doesn't mean that we've got people with the ability and time to solve the problem. For example, our most active staff members live too far away to physically work on equipment. So any issue that involves a hardware problem is assigned to a local staff member, most of whom have not had much time to donate. If anyone can get people to volunteer to work with staff during an evaluation period, please have them send a message to help at grex. We'd love to grow some local talent. Current staff work with and recommend people to the board for staff appointments.
