Item 70: SimCity for Macintosh

Entered by robh on Fri Jul 12 05:51:34 1996:

Donated by Steve Sarrica via Rob Argy (ajax):

SimCity for Mac (for 512E, SE, and Mac II), (c) 1989. The
classic...great game, but I doubt it will work on newer Macs.

I can't believe that nobody's bid on this! I'd bid on it, but I already own
it. :-P

$5

If this comes with instructions, I'll go to $6.

It does have instructions. The inside docs mention you should run it with
system 6.0.2 or the latest version...since it's from 1989, it probably won't
work with system 7. (If that affects the last two bids, a retraction is
reasonable!). The other Mac games in the auction are all fairly recent,
and should work with newer Macs, but this one will probably just work with
the older Macs and System 6.

Then I have to retract my bid. We operate with system 7.5.

OK, the current bid is still $5 from aruba, made on 7-16.

I'm using SimCity Classic with System 7.0.1, and there is absolutly no
problem. I don't see any conflicts, headdoc. If it runs on MY mac, it'll run
on any Mac ;)

This actually predates SimCity Classic by some years. Classic was a rerelease
that maintained the same gameplay and graphics and such, but was updated to
work on later machines. This is the original SimCity, before there was a
reason to call it "classic!" :-)
