#16 of 52 by ajax on Wed May 22 04:27:41 1996:

I imagine it catches dreams in some way, but can someone describe
a bit more about how a dream catcher is used?

#17 of 52 by otter on Wed May 22 04:51:50 1996:

Traditionally, a dream catcher is made for a child by a relative, is
hung in the window or doorway of his/her first sleeping place and is kept
and used for life. All dreams entering the room/area are caught in the
dreamcatcher's web. The good dreams travel down a feather to the dreamer, the
bad ones remain in the web to be burned off by the morning sun.

#19 of 52 by gregc on Wed May 22 11:51:33 1996:

Oh, puhlease! And I suppose it recieves periodic maintainence from the
easter bunny and the tooth fairy?

#20 of 52 by eeyore on Wed May 22 12:19:01 1996:

but of course! santa is too big to get his fingers in something that
delicate! :)
30$!

#21 of 52 by brighn on Wed May 22 13:27:10 1996:

*brighn wonders if Greg feels compelled to insult everyone's religious
beliefs, or just certain ones*
Actually, NA Traditionalists don't clean them, I don't think, but
the neoPagans who has usurped the tradition do clean them out every
six months or so (which reminds me, mine need to be blessed in the
first place).

#22 of 52 by scott on Wed May 22 16:15:39 1996:

Arg, I thought it had settled.

#26 of 52 by popcorn on Thu May 23 05:41:50 1996:

Is that a definite bid of $37, or do you mean you're still thinking about it?

#27 of 52 by otter on Thu May 23 21:09:42 1996:

ref #19: Was that really necessary, gregc? Sorry taht there's no room in your
head for even a small romantic notion. <sheesh!>

#28 of 52 by robh on Fri May 24 13:29:30 1996:

eeyore - let me know if response 25 is an actual bid, otherwise
I'll have to assume it's not.

#29 of 52 by eeyore on Fri May 24 22:11:11 1996:

it is...sorry, i didn't mean to make it sound questionable,

#30 of 52 by robh on Fri May 24 23:06:33 1996:

No problem, I just need to make sure. I'd hate to put a joke
response in saying "Maybe I should bid $100" and find out a week
later that I'd just spent $100 on something like that.

#31 of 52 by scott on Sat May 25 02:43:21 1996:

$38.

(Scott makes a teeth-grinding angry face at Meg)

#32 of 52 by ajax on Sun May 26 02:34:33 1996:

(A bit of advice, Scott: don't try a large numeric leap in an effort
to spook her ;-).

#33 of 52 by scott on Sun May 26 13:28:33 1996:

(Somehow I don't think intimidation will work either. ;)
