Because all Guinness is brewed at the brewery at St. James Gate, Dublin in Ireland. Using the same water and the same ingredients and the same exacting brewing process. In fact I bet that when the brewers are brewing over there, they have no idea if their batches are to be sold internationally or domestically, because they are brewing use vats of beer and the marketing process wouldn't begin until the stuff is kegged. guinness draft is of course not guinness extra stout. extra stout is the bottled variety, which is really a different beer altogether with a higher alcohol content (hence the *extra*) I like both versions, and both versions will taste the same wherever you get them because they both originate at the brewery in Dublin.
