I'll be playing piano at the annual Ragtime Bash, held at the
First Unitarian Church of Ann Arbor.
Date: Sunday, December 14
Time: 7:30pm
Address: 4001 Ann Arbor-Saline Road (at Ellsworth Road)
Other performers include Bob Seeley (legendary boogie-woogie piano
player from Detroit), Kent Eschelman, Mike Montgomery, and
Talismah Bey and the Silver Dollar Ragtime Band.
Tickets are $15; $12 for seniors and students. Available at the
door, or in advance at Nicola's Books, Westgate Shopping Center
on Jackson Road. For info call 734-665-6158.
Seats are first come first served and it's been known to sell out,
so come a little early. Not sure how many pieces I'll be playing -
did 4 last year, 2 the year before that. Should be a fun evening
in any case.
(( Linked between Fall Agora and Music conferences.))

I will appear with Matt Watroba as opener for Don White at Green Wood Coffee House in Ann Arbor on Sat, Dec 13 at 8 pm.
I will be performing lighting for a one-of-a-kind theatrical event in support of Gilda's House, a place which welcomes and supports cancer patients and their families and friends, tomorrow night at the Smith Theatre on the Orchard Ridge campus of Oakland Community College. This is an original work based on the writings of people whose lives have been touched by Gilda's, and it is directed and performed by some of the Detroit area's top professional actors. The show is at 8pm, Saturday 6 December 2003. Tickets are $20 and up, seating is limited. Map and directions at http://www.occ.cc.mi.us/Maps/ORCampus/
These days I'm usually one of the people playing at an open mic music night at the Lighthouse coffee shop in downtown Milan [MI, not Italy, IL, OH, or elsewhere] - on [hammered] dulcimer & sometimes also on guitar. This runs 7-9 PM on Wednesdays.
For that matter, my family & I (that's gracel, kingjon, paull, & davel) will be singing in the cantata at Milan Baptist Church, 7 PM Friday Dec 19 & Sunday Dec 21. I'll also be playing Christmas music on dulcimer as people are arriving (but not right up to 7:00, as I'll have to stop to go join the choir).
Re #11: I've played at the Lighthouse open mic in Milan a couple of times and hope to make it there again this coming Wednesday, Dec. 10.
(Great news, John. I hope to make it but don't know - things are VERY busy right now. But I know everyone there will enjoy your being there, a lot.)
Band concert in which I will be playing Tuba in: Centennial Hall Augustana College Rock Island, Illinois Monday, January 19th Concert: 6:30am-8:00pm
Is this the "current" stage item? I did not see a new on in Agora. I'm a member of Ann Arbor Civic Chorus. Our concert is at Slauson Middle School - W. Washington at 9th - (that's just south of Huron and west of 7th) Sunday December 12 at 3:00 pm. http://www.arborweb.com/calendar/date/041212.html While I was on that web page, I noticed that remmers is due to perform the same day.
This is an old item. The current stage item is #115 in Agora. Thanks for the Arborweb link. The event I'm in is the annual Holiday Ragtime Bash at the Unitarian Church.
