Fly like a song, fly while you're singing A song without you is a bird without winging Some city flights leave in the morning Some city nights end without warning Can you hear me call? -- Betty Thatcher (Renaissance)

If you didn't notice from the Grex problems item, Dan Cross upgraded Grex's OpenBSD to version 6.1. Grex was inaccessible for a few days during this process. Many applications have been updated to newer versions. If something is missing or not working right, post about it in the problems item and let staff know.
FYI: I've rewritten the `menu` shell. As far as the user interface is concerned, this version is a more-or-less faithful recreation of the previous version, though there are some minor differences in some of the details. This version is written in `go`; the older version was written in C and was something of a nightmare.
FYI: I'm going to write about Grex a little bit in the `agorage` conference (conf:agorage). Check it out if you're interested. Or don't.
"conf:" is a neat trick, like "resp:". Are there any other tags like that we can put in bt posts? References to to responses in other items and items in other conferences would be us useful. Are such tags documented anywhere? I've searched the bt documentation on unixpapa.com but haven't found anything.
There will be downtime tomorrow as I attempt to migrate Grex to different hardware. I need to repurpose the hardware Grex is currently running on, and need to figure out a way to move the VM.
The transition to the other hardware was completed successfully. Apologies for the downtime.
Thanks for taking care of the old girl. ;) May I ask on what hardware Grex is now running? Is it in a VM?
re #41 My guess is raspberry pi 3 :)
Thanks for taking care of Grex, Tony!
M-Net and Grex both became VM's several years ago. They exist today on an HP bl495c G5 server blade.

Good job for keeping grex alive. Thanks for the hard work!
Yes, Tony! Hats off
GREX is an even more hidden gem of the net than Tildeverse. I really like this place.
Indeed, it is. A little too hidden and underused.
We need to get a wordle-like game running the Games conference. It's similar to the 5-letter match game.
Well, well, well cyberspace is alive and well :) Howdy folks! Greetings from the InfinitelyRemote ;)

resp:50 You mean like we used to do 20 questions with one "master" who thinks of the word and the rest of the players making guesses to which the master reports results (letters correct; letters used in other position)?
Oh, i thought this was like a 'safe' word
