Ah, but Igor, mdw's is the picospan equivalent of a historical classic.

No, those are not my scissors. I never seen them before,
nor have I talked to your grandmother in several days. I will now

This is conferencing at its purest.

#16 of 46 by orinoco on Sun Nov 24 14:47:40 1996:

Exactly...nothing like "topic" or "purpose" to get in the way of all the drift

#19 of 46 by lee on Thu Nov 6 04:05:08 1997:

What was that a test of?

#20 of 46 by remmers on Thu Nov 6 11:14:04 1997:

Backtalk clickification, probably.

#21 of 46 by srw on Thu Nov 6 18:12:30 1997:

exactly. There is a small problem with backtalk clickifications. They
point to the authenticated version if the URL. Hence anonymous
readers can't follow them. There is also "peek" which doesn't, though.
However I mostly want to point for the benefit of users with accounts.

Backtalk clickifications are pretty cool, I think, though not widely
accepted on Grex yet.

I haven't used peek much. So I'm going to test some more. Now back to
the original topic.

peek:agora,27

#22 of 46 by srw on Thu Nov 6 18:13:26 1997:

No, that isn't it. I think I have to tuype the peek into the URL. I'll
test that, but not here.

#23 of 46 by remmers on Thu Nov 6 20:30:12 1997:

I'm sorry, we can't go back to the original topic. There isn't
one.

#24 of 46 by orinoco on Thu Nov 6 22:35:05 1997:

Yes there is.

#25 of 46 by lee on Fri Nov 7 04:44:08 1997:

That topic escapes me. I was just wonderin' why stuff was appearing
bold in lynx.

#26 of 46 by remmers on Fri Nov 7 11:21:03 1997:

You access backtalk via lynx?

#27 of 46 by lee on Sat Nov 8 00:04:52 1997:

I telnet in when I can but when there's a waiting line greater than 5 I give
up and use backtalk via lynx.

#28 of 46 by orinoco on Sat Nov 8 04:01:15 1997:

But...but...how do you get at lynx if the line's too long to get onto grex?
Or do you have lynx elsewhere?

#29 of 46 by remmers on Sat Nov 8 11:41:09 1997:

Yes, I think she must have lynx elsewhere. "No waiting lines on
the world wide web."

#30 of 46 by lee on Sun Nov 9 03:13:27 1997:

I ask my roommate to log onto her unix account for me and use lynx there.

#31 of 46 by ezzaroo on Thu Apr 23 16:50:45 1998:
