Every second Sunday there's a poetry reading at 7:00P.M. near my locale in Scenic Depot Town Ypsilanti at the Daily Grind Cafe. There's usually a featured poet. This evening, and anyone reading this will probably miss it since I announced so late, a guy named Foley Schuler, from Detroit. I read sometimes (usually) some of my stuff at the open mike gig. There are usually (sometimes) a variety of other interesting open mike readers. Make sure whenever you say Depot Town, you say "Scenic Depot Town" so that eventually everybody will say it and it will be a running joke like the Toledo Scenic Circle Tour through the drek of Toledo. Anybody from Toledo with mindless pride? Your problem, get a life. When you do, tell me where you got it. If the price is right, I might be interested. Even something used would be nice. Low milage, highway miles, not to many excesses. Even RENT-TO-OWN. I can probably afford it -- at one of those guaranteed credit, checks cashed here places.

I didn't make it this time but will try in the future. It would be reasonable to announce this event each month, a few days before it happens, in this item and in the "announcements" item (#2 or #3, I think) in the Agora conference.
Well, I attended this time and the stuff read was pretty decent. Some of it quite engaging, I thought. I'll try and remember to fire off an announcement next time.
Second Sunday poetry reading at the Daily Grind are still happening. Last month was quite good, with a featured reader from Chicago. I'm sure this month will be good also.
Do you know who will be there this month? And when is it exactly? I'd like to go.
It's Sunday March 13th 7 pm. The featured reader is Marifrances Conrad. She's a really good writer from Ann Arbor.
I'll do my best to be there.
