Grex Writing Item 18: A poem (rare)
Entered by steve on Thu Oct 24 02:00:40 UTC 1991:

Sometimes I think our world is
     A Neon atom
       In a spec of dust
         Inside an empty fishbowl
           Sitting on a stool
             In a darkened stage
               Somewhere in Boston.
Wrote that when I was in 7th grade. The teacher didn't know what to do
with it and gave it back to me.

At least he/she let you keep it.

Sets up a recursive loop. The teacher probably couldn't handle that.

<Erinn smiles...it seems that poems are about as accepted here as prose is
accepted in the poetry cf.>

<Yes, but look at the date this poem was entered: October 23, 1991.
This was long before the poetry cf. existed.>

lot of thought for a 7th grader. i'm sure i'd want to see your
train of thought now - older, wiser. i'm not sure it'll be any different.
anyway, congrats on the piece. obscure though its interpretations are many
and one can dream. good work.
