Grex Writing Item 1: Welcome!
Entered by katie on Thu Sep 12 01:49:56 UTC 1991:

 Welcome to the Writers' Conference!
 Here we share our writing - verse, prose, fiction, nonfiction, sense
 and nonsense.
 I'll get things started by entering a couple of my old poems. My
 apologies to those who have already read them elsewhere!

137 responses total.

Somebody congratulate me. I just won the Cahners Publishing
Editorial Excellence Award for my columns in Test and Measurement
World magazine.

#2 of 137 by craig on Wed Feb 12 01:53:54 1992:

Congratulations!

Perhaps you should upload samples.

Man, I am so tired of reading these responses that I don't even know why
everyone is congratulating Dan, but I'll agree with everyone else...

I'm gonna have to get more sleep before I read any more of these items...

#9 of 137 by om on Tue May 18 02:02:02 1993:

November fifth-man that's a long time ago! I guess my wife and I are going to
hav have to read some of these entries to see what all creative writing is on
her here already>

#10 of 137 by vishnu on Thu Feb 24 03:12:28 1994:

Woah... 1992...

#11 of 137 by anne on Sun Feb 27 00:13:42 1994:

Do you have the feeling that no one feels like writing here? ; }

#12 of 137 by davel on Sun Feb 27 02:14:47 1994:

What do you mean? There have been, what, half a dozen new items in the
last 9 months, right?
8-{)>

#13 of 137 by remmers on Sun Feb 27 13:09:03 1994:

Right, about one item per month. I wish we'd see more.

#14 of 137 by anne on Sun Feb 27 15:25:58 1994:

Actually, I meant here as in this item ; }

#15 of 137 by remmers on Sun Feb 27 16:21:55 1994:

Oh, gotcha.

Of course, this item isn't intended for creative writing efforts,
I think, just mundane utilitarian-type responding.

#16 of 137 by vishnu on Sun Feb 27 17:24:03 1994:

Hi, i'm Human.

#17 of 137 by davel on Sun Feb 27 19:01:06 1994:

Could have fooled me!
8-{)>

#18 of 137 by vishnu on Sun Feb 27 19:08:53 1994:

Me too.

#19 of 137 by anne on Sun Feb 27 19:22:46 1994:

I'm not.

#20 of 137 by remmers on Sun Feb 27 19:34:56 1994:

Good. I would like to see more creative writing by space
aliens in this conference.

#21 of 137 by anne on Sun Feb 27 22:40:42 1994:

I'm not a space alien either. (should this go in the riddle item of iq?) ; }

#22 of 137 by danr on Mon Feb 28 01:07:59 1994:

I'm from France.

#23 of 137 by anne on Mon Feb 28 03:50:11 1994:

What part of France?

#24 of 137 by vishnu on Mon Feb 28 04:15:54 1994:

Both parts.

#25 of 137 by davel on Mon Feb 28 14:47:53 1994:

I'd say enigma would be more appropriate than IQ

#26 of 137 by anne on Mon Feb 28 21:28:45 1994:

I wasn't aware that there were only two parts to France. But hey, that's
more exciting then where I'm from, I'm from Michigan.

#27 of 137 by vishnu on Mon Feb 28 21:43:06 1994:

Hey, me too.

#28 of 137 by vishnu on Mon Feb 28 21:44:18 1994:

But I think that France has a lot of parts. I'm just being silly.

#29 of 137 by davel on Tue Mar 1 01:12:48 1994:

I thought it had 3.

#30 of 137 by remmers on Tue Mar 1 02:24:41 1994:

Indeed.  Caesar knew that.

#31 of 137 by anne on Tue Mar 1 02:43:42 1994:

re#28, hey silly is good. Where would the world be without silly?
I personally think very highly of it.
re#27 so vishnu- are you a Yooper, or a Troll?

#32 of 137 by omni on Tue Mar 1 04:19:17 1994:

 France has many regions, like states. Anyone want to borrow my
French Tour guide?

#33 of 137 by kami on Tue Mar 1 06:15:23 1994:

re: #29- damn, davel, beat me to it :}

#34 of 137 by anne on Tue Mar 1 15:44:39 1994:

Nah, don't need to tour guide, I just want to know if vishnu is a
yooper or a troll- so vishnu which is it?

#35 of 137 by vishnu on Tue Mar 1 18:15:59 1994:

Uh... i'm a yooper. It has more of a silly name.

#36 of 137 by anne on Tue Mar 1 23:45:29 1994:

You can only be a Yooper if you were born in the Upper Penninsula.
My dad is a Yooper, my mom is a Troll (a troll being someone born
in the lower penninsula, i.e. 'Under the Bridge' (Macinaw that is. :)))
So what does that make me, a Trooper, or a Yoll?

#37 of 137 by vishnu on Wed Mar 2 12:32:09 1994:

I guess i'm a Troll, then. One that has little black spots and a
pointy head. I think you should be a Yoll cuz its better.

(hey, i'm 'Under the Bridge' <by the Red Hot Chili Peppers>!?
)

#38 of 137 by anne on Wed Mar 2 18:34:15 1994:

thanks vishnu, I think I like Yoll too.

#39 of 137 by marc on Thu Mar 3 09:37:22 1994:

re: #32- I dunno. <shrug> is he cute?
<G>
