Alright... i had been using a friends parents toaster to hack together video when i needed to, but apparently they gave my friend his *own*, extremely low quality editing equipment (vintage 1980's stuff -- basically, a genlock attached to an amiga 1200)... the practical upshot of this is that I am no longer able to use the proffesi0nal equipment his parents have (because, so his parents claim, my friend now has equipment), so I have decided to try and get my own... This has led to a few questions. So far, I have been looking at trying to purchase a used amiga 2000 or 4000 with some sort of non-linear editing setup (surprisingly, not *that* expensive, or so it would seem from my research so far). My questions: 1. What is the advantage (other than speed) to using the video-toaster in an amiga 4000 instead of an amiga 2000? 2. Does the flyer board work in the amiga 2000? What are the problems with this? 3. I have heard of boards other than the flyer that allow NLE in the Amiga. What are the differences between these and the flyer? Do these boards function in conjunction with the toaster or are they a replacement? Any other hints or suggestions you have are very much appreciated...
