This item is a discussion of American roads past and present, including, but
not limited to, the one we know as "Route 66".

There are short stretches of Route 66 left in Missouri and Oklahoma.
There was a cool auto/highway curio shop in southwest Missouri when
I was out there in 1994. Old service station signs and other ad signs.

For the rest route 66 consists of Interstates.
In Arizona there is a stretch of historic route 66 leading from 
Williams westwards.
