Well, I have a car trip planned. Straight out to Death Valley Calif, with a brief stop at the North Rim of Grand Canyon. From there it is weaving back and forth through Calif, Ariz, and New Mexico to see the best sights and as many ghost towns as possible. I'll give a report back after this experience.

Neat. I look forward to the report.
Have a great trip. When are you leaving?
I am making the trip with my brother & it depends on when he can get the time off. We were planning on mid October, but it probably will be moved to November. This will be the 5th year we have done this and it is a great experience.
Wow, I'd love to drive out west!! Let us know about the trip!!
Last time we did this, we put 8500 miles on. I wouldn't be surprised if we log 10,000 this time. Even though it's a lot of driving we really enjoy it. We drive a steady shot out to the most distant point, then drift back at a more leisurely pace until we run short on time, then we come back in one long drive. Our Western point is Death Valley. I expect our Eastern point is somewhere around Big Bend National Park, Texas. I'll shoot too much film, but what the heck.
