Ok, so who's the smarty who grabbed Marcus' login id.
These short responses... It's simply can't be the Marcus
of which I'm so fond.

#11 of 55 by remmers on Tue Aug 30 22:41:51 1994:

By contrast, this is a WELL TESTED response.

#12 of 55 by mwarner on Tue Aug 30 23:27:48 1994:

Testi flies, Testostyrene (synthetic hormones), Test D'Ubervilles,
L.A.test (what Los Angeles claims to be), Testcycles (Bikes with ball
bearings instead of gears), Test Seaquench (an orderly beverage),
Infant Test Mall, Con Test, Grow Testq, GRATE TEST (.)

#13 of 55 by mwarner on Tue Aug 30 23:35:14 1994:

Hey! That's not *my* pseudonym. How's that worked?

#15 of 55 by mwarner on Wed Aug 31 19:19:19 1994:

I must have "setname" in place of pseudoing way back when. It comes back
to me now. What a surprise it is to see a different name on your own id.
It's like seeing a different face in the mirror. At least it wasn't "Bob,
from Twin Peaks". Definite end of test.

#16 of 55 by remmers on Thu Sep 1 02:50:49 1994:

blah blah blah etc. etc...

Yeah, something to beware of if you go from, say, "enigma" to a newly
restarted "agora".

#23 of 55 by lee on Sun Mar 9 02:03:46 1997:

This is a test response.

#24 of 55 by remmers on Sun Mar 9 03:31:17 1997:

Can you prove that?

#25 of 55 by lee on Sun Mar 9 23:38:57 1997:

Given: A response has been entered in the test conference.
Prove: It is a test response.

Proof by contradiction.
Suppose it was not a test response.
Then the response should have said something remotely meaningful, in reference
to something that somebody had said in a previous response.
However this response stands alone and does not refer to anything that anybody
has said so far in this item.
Therefore it contradicts the notiong that it was not a test response.

.`. It (#23) is a test response.

#26 of 55 by remmers on Mon Mar 10 12:00:13 1997:

Nice try, but the properties you mentioned in your proof are
also possessed by twit responses. So you have not ruled out the
possibility that the response was a twit response. Try again.

#27 of 55 by orinoco on Mon Mar 10 17:08:15 1997:

Of course it was a twit response. All we have here are twit responses. This
is a twit conference.
Not that there's anything *worng* with that.

#28 of 55 by lee on Mon Mar 10 20:50:20 1997:

I thought this was a *test* conference.
Could you please define twit responses so I can rule them out?
Define test response while you're at it too.

#29 of 55 by remmers on Tue Mar 11 10:49:13 1997:

If I were to define my terms it could scotch this whole
discussion. You get the liveliest discussions when people are
arguing about terms that nobody has bothered to define.

#30 of 55 by orinoco on Wed Mar 12 21:21:50 1997:

Ideally, you aren't all arguing about the same terms.
It really heats things up if a couple people are speaking a different language
as well.

#31 of 55 by lee on Sun Mar 16 04:15:19 1997:

Je ne comprends pas du tout cette conference...

#32 of 55 by remmers on Sun Mar 16 13:20:59 1997:
