This is my first item entered with "fronttalk".  Boy is
it slow...  :)

Mostly it's slow at (1) starting up, and (2) reading large items.  Starting
up is largely the perl compile, I think.  The large item thing is because
it fetches the entire item text, then parses it all, then starts printing
it.  It needs to parse and print as it reads.

I'm running fronttalk on my home linux system and entering
this response from there.  Woo hoo!
