Well, here's one of 'em.

The fine art of remmers-watching...

#4 of 16 by orinoco on Tue Feb 25 22:58:07 1997:

Like looking for a remmers in a haystack.
Only more difficult.
Unless it was a very large haystack.
Or a very small remmers.

If the remmers are scurrying in and out of a haystack, they'd be much
easier to spot. It's if they were standing still that would make it
hard. And if they were the same color as the hay.

#7 of 16 by remmers on Wed Feb 26 12:24:09 1997:

(Being a city boy, I don't do haystacks.)

#8 of 16 by lee on Thu Feb 27 02:03:18 1997:

if countries have hay, then what do cities have? <boggle>

#9 of 16 by remmers on Thu Feb 27 14:01:54 1997:

Cities have kiosks. But let's get this item back on track. What
have *you* done today to help find guys on Grex?

#10 of 16 by lee on Fri Feb 28 02:44:37 1997:

Cities also have subways.
Find guys on grex? But they're in every conference I read, how can I *not*
find them?
<boggle>

#11 of 16 by remmers on Fri Feb 28 17:22:05 1997:

Hence the expression "like looking for a needle in a subway".

#12 of 16 by lee on Fri Feb 28 21:29:35 1997:

Or looking for change on a bus.

#13 of 16 by remmers on Sat Mar 1 14:53:19 1997:

Indeed. The situations where I never have enough change are the
ones where exact change is required.

#14 of 16 by lee on Sat Mar 1 23:00:07 1997:

I ended up walking two miles to the train station once because I couldn't find
any dimes for the bus...

#15 of 16 by remmers on Sun Mar 2 13:54:11 1997:

Couldn't you have panhandled?

#16 of 16 by orinoco on Sun Mar 2 23:06:38 1997:

What about looking for a subway in a haystack?
Most haystacks I know don't come equipped with subway service, making finding
one a much more difficult task.
Of course, if it was a particularly well-developed haystack, it might have
a subway of it's own.
