Is anyone else seeing ESC in white on black in the header while the rest of
the screen is black on white?

Not me. What I see in the header is the word "FUN" in boldface.

I blame it on EWAN then.

where both ESC are reversed colour and background from the rest of the text.

What pager are you using? Try "define pager more" and look again.

In your .cfonce file, replace the line that begins "define pager..."
with the line "define pager more".

doing there?  I didn't put it there.

A .cfonce file containing that line was set up automatically when
you created your account.
