This item is for sharing the wise words of religious icons or other people we admire to see how their wisdom might better affect our lives or the lives of those around us. I am entering this item because of some words of wisdom that I read recently in an issue of the Detroit News which was left on a table in the break room where I work. Turns out a Catholic minister who had been promoted to Bishop got excommunicated because he ordained a woman as a minister. (I know that that's part of the Church Heirachy rules, but it's not why I'm typing this. I believe he got promoted and ordained the woman in the same day but I'm not sure.) Anyway, in addition to the fact that they will let the woman minister do her spiritual duty, the now ex-bishop had I quote I really liked. "It is not the body that is being ordained, but the soul. Gender is irrelvant." I'm not even a Christian, but I like this guy. We need more people like him in the world.
