Grex Sports Item 37: Pro-Bowl.....?
Entered by bubu on Fri Dec 22 15:44:26 UTC 1995:

Does anyone else find it unbelievable that the best Middle Linebacker in the
NFL is going to the Pro-Bowl? Of course I am talking about Chris Spielman...
and what about Brett Perrimen? Somebody please help me understand this?

In the NFL, the *players* vote on the all-pro's. So they vote a lot based
on whom they've played against, not just on stats. Chris Spielman is
certainly very valuable to his team, but is he better than whomever was
selected? (Who *were* selected as the NFC linebackers, BTW?) As for
Perriman, he has very good stats, but it's hard to argue that he's "better"
than Moore, Rice, Irvin, and Carter.

Speaking of the Pro-bowl, is anyone surprised that Jim Harbaugh has been
selected as a QB? I have alwyas felt he should be good enough, and now, he's
finally proving it.

Hey was that offensive line he played behind in Chicago bad, or what?

I will have to get a list of the players going instead of Spielman....
Yes you have an excellent point about Perrimen...

Jim Harbaugh led the AFC (if note the entire NFL) in QB [passing] efficiency.
Finally a U-M QB that stars in the NFL! :-) Go Blue!
