Did everybody watch Patrick Stewart host Saturday Night Live this week? I really enjoyed it. I'm not usually a SNL watcher. The newscast could have been a lot more funny. I couldn't believe how many sketched PS was in. Of course I loved the TNG sketch. I'm sure I'll chuckle every time I see Riker putting his shoulder into it like that! A few of the sketches (Sexy Cakes) went on a bit long, but that's no big surprise - it's why I stopped watching SNL in the first place. His monolog about Trek trivia was brilliant. It was so intelligent compared to Shatner's infamous 'get a life' comment. Well, what did everybody else think? Who taped it?

I've been pretty disgusted with SNL of late, and most of the episode did nothing for me. The Scottish Psychiatrist sketch, on the other hand, had me ROTFL non-stop. (Careful, Rob, your kilt is showing...)
Of course SciFi people can do comedy. Battlestar Galactica was good, but it was all one big joke.
ya know, with all their marketing, I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT until today! I guess I'll have to watch the TV guide and catch the next 'encore presentation' of it, I'm sure it'll be around somewhere eventually.
I gave up on the episode after the Love Boat: the next generation sketch moved slower than molasses and garnered most of its laughs from having cameo appearances. Bleah.
I missed the Patrick Stewart SNL, but it sounds like I wouldn't have missed much. Those who hate SNL hated it, and I hate SNL. The pity is that they have great concepts but are unable to execute them (like the superheroes sketch a couple years back). Back to topic, William Shatner is a GREAT comic actor for the same reason Leslie Nielson is: he can take himself seriously no matter what he's doing or how ludicrous it is.
I certainly hope Patrick Stewart can do comedy...he has had enough acting experience...
