I think it's time for this annual item. I'm so gafiated I'm not even sure when Confusion is, but I think it's this coming weekend. Perhaps some of you will file con reports as teasers for those of us who aren't going to be there. (A request: if one wants to dump in a huge amount of promotional information (like the program schedule) please put it in a separate item.)

It is this weekend, and I guess I'm going. Not that I plan on staying long, since I have to work the Ark that night, but I guess I want to see Lois McMaster Bujold more than I want to bum around the house on Saturday.
I plan on being there.
Who's at the Ark? Twila, you *never* stay for the parties!!
Um, well, Mustard's Retreat, and I signed up to work the show before I realized that the con was this weekend, so poot.... anyhow... I dunno if I'd *like* the parties --- I never have made one...
So, will anyone bring us a con report?
It was fun. I'll enter more when I get home from work. >8)
OK, con stuff. I took second place in the Babylon 5 trivia contest, found out that one of my oldest friends in fandom was dead (not a fun way to start the weekend), went to several panels (topics: the Y2K problem, the year in SF media, the Disneyfication of modern storytelling, and whether SF fans are more tolerant than the culture at large), spent three hours at the hotel restaurant trying to get dinner, got lots of good art from the art show, books and a fox puppet (his name is Reynard) from the dealers' room, played Stun Runner in the arcade five times and got five of the top ten scores, played a few games by the poolside, and met lots of old friends I hadn't seen in two years. That sums up my weekend!
A-ha! I wondered if that was you, Rob~! I was at the B5 panel, and thought that there might have been someone I kinda knew on there. Um. Went only Saturday, for part of the day. Saw Bujold, went to eh Art show, had a nice lunch at the restaurant next door, um, talked to some folks, headed back to Ann Arbor....
I took second place in the B5 quiz last year. This year not]
even qualified, but attended.
Russ Cage built a smoke ejector for the smoking con-suite, it
did work, keeping the smoke out of the hallway and almost making the
room tolerable to non-smokers.
I wonder if ConFusion is the only 1,000 person even that is
held at that hotel any weeekend of the year. They seem to fall on
some of the support issues, like bathrooms out of hand paper towels
by noon.
I got more books to the Klingons at the Alien Empire table
to help them raise money for Leader Targs (Dogs) for the Blind. AE
was also showing the first productions of "babylon park".
i spent much of my con gophering in the art show.
i have heard that the con this year was not one of its best years, i hope they do much better next year.
