Has anyone played the Robotech RPG, or any of its derivitives? And would anyone
be wanting to do a campaign (orwhatever it is in robotech) here?

I played an old version of it - didn't care much for it.  I'm more a fantasy
type guy - though I do realize that sci-fi is fantasy set in the future rather
than the past.

Too true, I am just the opposite, but have the same reaslization.

Hmmm... never played RoboTech, but heard a lot about it.  I share the same
feelings as bjorn on Sci-Fi, but occasionally I find a Sci-Fi plot that I
really think is interesting.

This is cool. Coyote, if you want to, ask plork about it. he owns most of the
books.

NEver played palladium version..looked at it though, but I hate Hate hAte haTe
hatE HATE palladium rules.
I did play a version that was converted to Star Wars rules, and that worked
quite well.

The palladium robotech isn't that bad.... a few too many rolls... including for
some things I'd never even think of rolling for.... oh well... If I/we ran one
here, I would suggest getting all players together, going over rules,  asking
if they want to change any, and how. (GMs discretion of course...)

By the Palladium rules, a Cyclone has 200 MDC! We're talking abut something
7 1/2 feet tall at the most, and designed to be highly maneuverable! Get real!

The Robotech RPG rules!

I played it for a while, but found live outside of a Veritech difficult to
roleplay with that system.
